A first skin visit at DOD Clinics starts with questions: what bothers you, what you have already tried, and how your skin behaves through the year. We look at the face and, when relevant, the scalp or body in good light.
You should leave with a clear sense of what is medical, what is aesthetic, and what can wait. Acne, pigmentation, and sensitivity need a different sequence than a HydraFacial booked for an event.
We do not stack lasers, peels, and injectables on day one unless there is a simple, low-risk treatment that genuinely fits. Most plans start with skincare, sun habits, and one carefully chosen in-clinic procedure.
Bring a list of products you use, including pharmacy creams. If you are on oral medication or planning a wedding or trip, say so. Timing matters as much as the device we choose.
